Murphy's Law by Harry Glass
BIPS won the 2014 SCDA Perthshire District Festival of One Act Plays
with their entry "Murphy's Law" by Harry Glass.
The play was ably directed by Billy Neilson, who also played "Older Man" Darran Neilson played "Younger Man" and Michelle Rodley played "The Girl". The production also picked up the award for best stage presentation and the Scottish Life and Character award. We were well pleased and took the play to the Divisional Finals in Kirkwall. We all had an enjoyable few days in Kirkwall and were blessed with very settled weather. We were the last play on in the festival in the superb new theatre attached to Kirkwall Grammar School and after a very positive adjudication, picked up the award for third place, just missing going through to the finals by a whisker. Darran, Billy and Michelle put on a superb performance to our home crowd in the Birnam Institute on Saturday 14th June 2014, bringing to an end a very enjoyable six months of Murphy's Law.
