Outdoor Pleasures
2021 Outdoor Pleasures
This short play by Jean McConnell, part of the Deckchairs series was performed by Lesley Whitwood and Liz Archibald, as the first live event in a long time on stage at Birnam Arts. A small, socially distanced audience enjoyed this fun piece, and we also treated them to a showing of the lockdown monologues using the fancy new projection equipment in the theatre. We rehearsed the piece in Lesley's garden, rather apt given the play was set in a park, with the characters getting ready for outdoor Shakespeare. We had great support from Peggy Latter and Mel Brockway in our rehearsals, and from Michael Pemberton and Liam McFarlane in doing the lights and video projection for the performance.
